Heather Anne

Heather Anne Simon's traumatic childhood is much different from the fulfilled life she now has, and she's spreading hope as a national speaker.

Her journey began in Bakersfield, California, where her family made horrific news headlines.

At eighteen, she moved to Los Angeles, where she may have dated some Hollywood stars!

Eventually, love and life led her to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she raised two sons with her first husband.

She later went through divorce and heartache.

Yet, she refuses to let her past define her and has been thriving in her longtime career as a mortgage lender. Today, she inspires others, focusing on themes of survival and the transformative power of hope and faith.

While she hadn't dated in years, during the pandemic, she found a second chance at love.

Now married to her soulmate, "The Professor," Heather's living her next chapter with passion, while connecting with others and making the most of life.

The Professor

Joe Manson, known as "The Professor," is a San Diego native with a rebel soul.

He graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1982 and became an anthropology professor who spent years tracking monkeys in Costa Rica and even longer navigating the academic jungle.

By 2022, disillusioned by the rise of ideological conformity and the freefall of academic standards, Joe got divorced, retired early, left the chaos of Los Angeles and launched a new chapter in Oklahoma.

Thanks to a series of twists, Joe is now happily remarried to Heather Anne and embracing life with renewed energy. He’s diving into his Jewish roots, mastering Renaissance and Baroque recorder, and striking poses in yoga class.

Still a scholar at heart, Joe now studies the quirks of his fellow human primates using personality questionnaires, and he’s currently preparing for his ham radio license.

With his soulmate by his side, he's enjoying life's adventures and excited to take you along.
