Jennifer Hays-Grudo
Jennifer Hays-Grudo, PhD, retired in October 2025 as an Emeritus Regents Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at the OSU Center for Health Sciences. For the previous 10 years, she directed CIRCA, a $20M NIH-funded center studying childhood adversity and resilience in children and adults. With Dr. Amanda Morris, she is the author of Adverse and Protective Childhood Experiences: A Developmental Perspective and Raising a Resilient Child in a World of Adversity: Effective Parenting for Every Family, and founding Editor-in-Chief of Adversity and Resilience Science published by Springer/Nature.
Prior to OSU, she was George Kaiser Chair of Community Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Tulsa and an associate professor of medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where she was a principal investigator in the Women’s Health Initiative, the largest NIH-funded study of women’s health.
